Dr. Oetker Revani 500g (Turkish dessert)
The dr. Oetker Revani has a traditional Turkish taste that is easy to prepare! It is both easy and practical to make the revani dessert, one of the popular sorbet desserts of traditional Ottoman palace cuisine. With its spongy, soft texture and syrup, it spreads easily in your mouth as you eat it.
Ingredients
WHEAT semolina, WHEAT FLOUR, SUGAR, RISPERS (SODIUM PINOPHOSPHATE, SODIUM BICARBONATE), GLUCOSURE SYRUP, EMULSIFIER (MILTIC AND acetic acid esters of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides, lactic and acetic acid esters, acetic acid-vanillin, hydrochloric acid esters)
Preparation
Needed for the dough: 3 eggs, 100 ml (1 tea glass) milk, optionally grated peel of 1 orange or lemon
Required for syrup: 750 g (4.5 glasses) sugar, 1200 ml (6 glasses) water, 1 dessert spoon of lemon juice
Cooking time: 35-45 minutes
Electric oven setting: Turbo 170 °C (preheated) or Bottom-Upper: 180 °C (preheated)
Preparation of syrup
Pour measured water and sugar into a saucepan and let it boil by stirring occasionally.
When cooking starts, add lemon juice and cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove it from the stove and let it cool.
Baking
Set the oven to the desired temperature and switch it on earlier to heat it up.
Pour the flour mixture into a bowl. Add egg and milk.
Beat with an electric mixer for 5 minutes.
Pour into a greased baking tray with a diameter of 28 cm and cook until the surface is lightly baked.
To serve
After removing it from the oven, let it cool for 1-2 minutes.
Then cut the cake into four pieces and pour cold syrup on the cake from the edges.
